HERB N EWE FUN PAGE!

WHAT HERB AM I?

Guess the description of the herb plant (name of plant has to be both common and botanical name).  If you're the first lucky winner, Herb N Ewe will send you one of our own copper garden markers for the mystery plant.  (What a fun way to get markers for your garden!!)

We will offer a new plant description every two weeks.  Just email your entry.  Please enclose your shipping address.  It can't be a post office box, or your answer will be invalid.

This week's entry (or until a brilliant gardener guesses correctly)
I am an Oriental herb with a square stem, a finely toothed oval leaf; "cherished for its sweet flowers and leaves'; usually in mid- to late August I have yellow flowers.  With my spicy spearmint fragrance I've been reputed to ease childbirth.  Who am I?

Email your answer to barb@herbnewe.com   First correct answer wins and your name will be posted here for all the world to see how brilliant you are.

GARDEN TRAVELER!

Send us your best or most impressive photo of a garden you've visited this summer; give us the location and month you visited and we'll post it in our new Garden Photo Gallery in the shop as well as on our website.  If your photo is chosen as the best, we'll award you with a free lunch for two.  No expiration date, so you can someday include Herb N Ewe in your garden travels.  Please send full name and address so we can mail your certificate to you.  Happy Traveling!!

MASTER GARDENERS (and not just the extension variety)....

Show us your stuff! Submit a photo of your garden or of a single specimen plant that has performed well for you.  We'll choose the best for each two week period and award you with a $25 plant gift certificate on next season's plants.  Finally some of this season's hard work rewards you in a new challenge for next year.  You can have too much of some things but never plants.  Include your name and address with each photo submitted.
